AV Project Manager (On-Site) Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 Position Overview We are seeking an experienced AV Project Manager to lead the design, execution, and delivery of audio-visual projects from concept through completion. This role combines client engagement, system design, and project management to ensure high-quality solutions that meet customer needs and are delivered on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities Sales & System Design Partner with sales teams to analyze client needs and recommend AV solutions Provide technical consultation throughout the sales cycle Prepare and present proposals to clients Design and specify AV systems and equipment Develop scopes of work, Bills of Materials (BOM), and system documentation Conduct site surveys and assess technical requirements Ensure solutions are scalable, feasible, and aligned with client expectations Project Management Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, sales, delivery) and external stakeholders (vendors, contractors, clients) Identify and mitigate project risks Track progress using project management tools Oversee forecasting, billing, and project closeout activities Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting Additional Responsibilities Stay current on AV technologies and industry trends Provide basic system training to clients Support successful project outcomes through collaboration and adaptability Qualifications Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations professionally Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams Experience with AV design tools such as AutoCAD and D-Tools Familiarity with control systems (Crestron, Extron, AMX, Biamp) Education & Experience High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred 3–5 years of AV project management, engineering, or installation experience PMP certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) CTS certification preferred (CTS-I or CTS-D a plus; required within 6 months of hire) Experience with project scheduling tools (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, etc.) Travel Up to 50% local/regional travel for client meetings, site visits, and project oversight Work Environment & Physical Requirements Occasional exposure to outdoor conditions and job sites Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and work on ladders/lifts Frequent use of hands, reaching, bending, and standing Close and distance vision required for technical work
