Job Description:
Job Description Job Description The Tax Manager is responsible
for overseeing the organization’s income tax accounting and
compliance functions as well as managing internal & external audit
activities and supporting proactive tax risk assessment
initiatives. This role partners closely with cross-functional
leaders and reports directly to the Tax Director, playing a key
role in ensuring accurate reporting, tax compliance, and strategic
tax support for the organization. Duties / Responsibilities: Manage
federal and state Income Tax compliance, including the preparation,
review and filing of required returns. Prepare and oversee income
tax accounting for the company’s legal entities, ensuring accuracy
and compliance with applicable standards. Evaluate, design, and
implement company processes and internal controls to strengthen
compliance, reporting and operational efficiency. Prepare and
maintain monthly, quarterly and annual reports to the company’s
Parent organization. Manage federal and state income tax Audits,
serving as the primary point of contact with taxing authorities.
Ensure company-wide adherence to established tax policies,
regulations and procedures. Collaborate with leadership to
identify, scope and lead ad-hoc strategic and special projects.
Coordinate and respond to data requests from outside auditors and
accounting firms. Provide data-driven analysis and insights to
support strategic initiatives and ongoing tax and finance
operations. Perform other duties as assigned by the Tax Director.
Minimum Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an
individual must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of
the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred. Minimum five (5)
years of progressive professional experience in tax operations
across multiple disciplines. Strong proficiency in Excel and other
financial systems and applications (D365, AI-enabled tools).
Experience in the telecommunications/cable industry highly
preferred. Excellent oral and written communications skills
(including public speaking) in English. Exceptional organizational
skills and effective time management. Experience with property
