their whole selves to work. Who You’ll Work With As a Complaint &
Resolution Specialist you will work closely with the Director of
Risk & Controls to support Valic Financial Advisors (VFA) Complaint
Department through complaint research, remediation coordination,
and regulatory reporting. About The Role This role is responsible
for investigating client complaints to determine root cause,
coordinating corrective actions across internal business units, and
ensuring accurate reporting to regulatory bodies. (VALIC Financial
Advisors is a dully registered broker-dealer and RIA).
Responsibilities Investigate client complaints to determine root
cause and propose appropriate corrective actions across all
business areas of Corebridge Financial Draft clear and professional
written responses to client complaints, explaining complex
financial concepts and resolutions Partner with the firm’s
registered representatives, management, and internal business units
to resolve client issues and ensure timely remediation Identify
complaint trends and patterns and escalate findings to management
for review and action Prepare and submit accurate complaint
reporting to regulatory bodies in accordance with FINRA and SEC
requirements Develop and distribute dashboards and reporting that
summarizes complaint activity, root causes, remediation actions,
and emerging trends Create, implement, and monitor risk management
strategies designed to mitigate operational and regulatory risk
Prepare detailed reports and presentations for leadership regarding
risk exposure, mitigation strategies, and remediation outcomes.
Ability to be cross functional among a team. Collaborate with key
stakeholders and management across the organization Support
additional risk, compliance, and control initiatives as assigned
Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required Minimum 5
years’ related experience in brokerage, RIA, financial services,
compliance, risk management, or complaint resolution Series 7 and
63 and/or 66 license preferred Knowledge of client service
recovery, remediation, and on-going monitoring activities Strong
business writing and communication skills, with the ability to
effectively communicate with clients and at all levels within an
organization Ability to navigate a complex organizational structure
and build productive relationships across business functions Proven
ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
while meeting deadlines Understanding of complex financial concepts
and theory Experience in brokerage and RIA products is preferred
Strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to communicate
complex financial concepts to both internal stakeholders and
clients Work Location This position is based in Corebridge
Financial’s Houston, TX office. Estimated Travel May include up to
