Job Description Job Description Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher
of the Visually Impaired certification and 1 years Teacher of the
Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet
these qualifications will not be considered. This full-time
position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact as a
teacher specializing in visual impairments for students in grades
K-12. Serving a dynamic school environment, this role requires
dedication to providing tailored educational support to students
with visual impairments across elementary, middle, and high school
levels. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction and
support to students with visual impairments, adapting curriculum to
meet individual needs. Collaborate with general education teachers
and support staff to ensure accessibility and inclusion. Conduct
assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
tailored to each student's goals. Provide training and resources to
families and school personnel on strategies and tools for visual
impairment education. May serve as an itinerant teacher, traveling
between multiple school sites within the district to support
eligible students. Monitor student progress and adjust
instructional strategies accordingly. Qualifications and
Experience: Certification or licensure in Visual Impairment or a
related field. Experience working with students in grades K-12 who
have visual impairments. Strong knowledge of assistive technologies
and accessible educational materials. Excellent communication and
collaboration skills. Ability to manage itinerant teaching
responsibilities efficiently. Location and Schedule: Position based
in Prairie View, TX. Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Monday through
Friday schedule. May require travel between school sites as an
