Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher
of the Visually Impaired certification and 1 years Teacher of the
Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet
these qualifications will not be considered. A position is
available for a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) at an
elementary school located in Liberty, MO. This contract role spans
the current school year and offers an opportunity to provide
specialized instruction to students with visual impairments. Key
Responsibilities: Deliver direct, hands-on instruction to two
elementary students: a 3rd grader (3 hours per week) and a 2nd
grader (4 hours per week) focusing on Braille literacy. Travel
within a cooperative of surrounding districts to provide services
at multiple school locations. Adapt teaching methods to meet the
unique visual needs of each student. Collaborate with school staff
and families to support the student's educational goals. Desired
Qualifications: Experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired
(TVI). Knowledge and skills in Braille instruction. Ability and
willingness to provide on-site instruction across different schools
within the area. Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
for travel between schools. Commitment to flexible scheduling with
potential for increased hours due to maternity leave coverage.
Location: Elementary school setting in Liberty, Missouri. Position
requires on-site presence in schools within the district
