Job Description Job Description Bachelor's degree from an
ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology
Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1 years speech-language
pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. A Speech-Language Pathology
Assistant (SLPA) is needed to support an elementary school caseload
in a school setting located in Katy, TX. This contract position
runs from now through the end of the school year, with the option
for renewal based on performance and available funding.
Responsibilities: Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in
providing speech and language therapy services to elementary
students. Implement individual and group therapy sessions according
to established treatment plans. Document student progress and
maintain accurate records in compliance with state and district
guidelines. Collaborate with teachers, speech pathologists, and
support staff to ensure effective communication and support for
students. Prepare therapy materials and assist with screenings and
assessments as needed. Qualifications: Completion of an accredited
Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program. Valid certification or
licensure as required by the state of Texas. Experience working
with children in an educational setting, ideally with an elementary
school caseload. Strong communication, organizational, and
interpersonal skills. Ability to follow protocols and work under
the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
