markets POSITION OVERVIEW The Manager, Commercial Strategy &
Business Development will play a central role in shaping and
executing Hanwha Energy USA's corporate-level commercial strategy
and strategic growth initiatives. This role supports senior
leadership in evaluating new business opportunities, developing
cross-platform strategies across renewables, energy storage, gas,
hydrogen, and data centers, and driving coordination across
internal teams and Hanwha Group affiliates. The ideal candidate is
a structured strategic thinker who can independently lead
workstreams, synthesize complex inputs, and translate ambiguity
into clear, decision-ready recommendations. RESPONSIBILITIES
Commercial Strategy & Market Leadership Lead development of
commercial strategies, market entry frameworks, and investment
theses across U.S. power markets (CAISO, ERCOT). Evaluate market,
regulatory, and policy developments and assess implications for
portfolio strategy and capital allocation. Own synthesis of complex
market, regulatory, and commercial inputs into clear strategic
recommendations for senior leadership. Strategic Initiatives & New
Business Development Lead and coordinate strategic initiatives
including platform expansion, new market entry, and
cross-technology business models. Evaluate and structure strategic
partnerships, framework agreements, and corporate-level
collaborations with utilities, CCAs, hyperscalers, and other large
offtakers. Partner with internal teams and affiliates to map
capabilities, identify synergies, and shape integrated value
propositions. Cross-Functional & Affiliate Coordination Serve as a
central coordination point across development, regulatory,
government relations, market development, and finance teams. Drive
alignment with Hanwha Group affiliates (manufacturing, gas,
hydrogen, data centers, financing) to support integrated business
strategies. Manage timelines, dependencies, and deliverables across
multiple concurrent workstreams. Executive Engagement & Decision
Support Prepare and lead executive-level materials (presentations,
memos, briefing notes) for C-suite, board discussions, and
leadership workshops. Represent the commercial strategy function in
internal and selected external meetings, as appropriate.
Proactively identify issues, risks, and decision points, and
elevate them with proposed options and recommendations. REQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics,
Engineering, Energy Policy, or related field. 6–10 years of
experience in energy, infrastructure, management consulting,
corporate strategy, or investment roles. Strong working knowledge
of U.S. power markets and energy transition dynamics. Demonstrated
ability to independently lead complex, ambiguous workstreams.
Exceptional structuring, analytical, and executive communication
skills (especially PowerPoint and written memos). PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS Experience across renewables, BESS, gas, hydrogen,
or data center-related businesses. Familiarity with ISO/RTO market
design, interconnection, and regulatory processes. Prior experience
working with or coordinating government relations or policy
strategy. Consulting background (strategy / infrastructure /
energy) a plus. Korean language capability is a plus but not
required. Compensation: $135,000 - $170,000 salary Attention
