We are seeking a(an) RN Infection Control Coordinator for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Job Summary and Qualifications Under the general supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, and the physician chairperson of the Infection Control function, the Infection Control Nurse establishes and implements guidelines directed toward the prevention, detection, and control of infectious processes and collaborates with the Employee Health Nurse for implementation of the Employee Health Program. What qualifications you will need: - Bachelor of Science in related field - Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse - Certification as Infection Control Practitioner prefer-red; documentation of educational programs related to: 1. Epidemiologic principles and infectious diseases. 2. Sterilization, sanitation, and disinfection practices. 3. Adult education principles. 4. Patient care practice. 5. Regulatory and voluntary agency standards. - Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience with management experience preferred.
