Job Title: Cardiovascular Surgery RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 3 years of recent CV surgery experience License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Minimum 3 years of recent CV surgery experience. On and off pump CABG experience. Description: Data Collection: For CV RN Position. Unit Information: Number of Beds 11 ORs and a Cysto room. Number of Staff 31. Day Shift staffing includes 1 Director, 1 Charge Nurse, multiple Circulators and Surgical Techs, 3 Nurse Techs, 1 Anesthesia Tech, and 1 Unit Clerk. No overnight shift. Patient Ratios are 1-1. Type of equipment: EMR Meditech. Preferred or nice to have: Candidates with CV OR experience and vascular surgery experience will be considered first. Typical procedures performed include Off Pump CABG, On Pump CABG, Vascular Bypass, and Carotid Endarterectomy. Best personality fit: Hardworking and a team player. Unit guidelines and policies are available as needed. Call requirements are Monday through Friday from 3 PM to 7 AM, with one RN covering the call. Once a second RN is hired, the call schedule will switch to every other day and every other weekend.
