continue to learn! Job Summary and Qualifications Responsible for
managing hospital wide and medical staff quality review processes.
Duties include abstracting quality data from the medical record,
including but not limited to, medical staff quality indicators,
surgical case/invasive procedure review, blood usage review,
mortality review, special targeted studies/research and
complications review in accordance with QI standards and
procedures. Manages the medical staff peer review process. Assists
the Chief Quality Officer in review and management of hospital wide
quality initiatives including continual survey readiness
activities. What you will do in this role: - Demonstrates ability
to plan, develop, organize, prepare, direct, and manage
organizational quality data to contribute to meeting the mission
and goals of the hospital. - Demonstrates ability to analyze
quality reports and prepare/compile comparative summary for CQO
review in a timely and accurate manner. - Demonstrates ability to
maintain the confidential nature of all quality activities for the
hospital. - Demonstrates ability to ensure coverage of
quality-driven meetings and provides guidance, resources and
support to committee and chairpersons. - Maintains compliance with
JC standards & other regulating/accrediting bodies. - Maintains
practitioner quality profiles. - Identifies opportunities for
improvement, risk management issues, or other quality/safety
concerns - Alerts CQO and/or medical staff officers of quality
concerns/opportunities. - Considers JC, NPSG’s, and other
regulatory requirements/standards when conducting reviews. -
Attends & reports in hospital committee meetings as requested. What
qualifications you will need: - (RN) Registered Nurse - Bachelors
Degree - Associate Degree - 2 years or more Quality or RN acute
