Job Description:
Join the prestigious team at Memorial Hermann, a leader in
healthcare innovation and patient care in Texas. As a Certified
Surgical Technologist, you will play a crucial role in our surgical
teams, providing technical support to surgeons, anesthesiologists,
and registered nurses in the operating room. You will ensure the
environment is safe, equipment functions properly, and operative
procedures are conducted under conditions that maximize patient
safety. Prepare and organize the operating room equipment,
instruments, and supplies as required for various surgical
procedures. Maintain sterile conditions throughout the surgical
process while anticipating the needs of the surgeon. Handle
instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgical procedures.
Perform counts of sponges, needles, and instruments before and
after procedures. Assist with the preparation, care for, and
disposal of specimens taken for laboratory analysis. Apply
dressings and other post-operative patient care under the direction
of the surgeon or registered nurse. Collaborate with other
healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Familiarity with sterilization techniques Ability to operate
surgical equipment Strong organizational and communication skills
Detail-oriented and able to perform tasks quickly and efficiently
in potentially high-stress environments Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification from
the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
(NBSTSA) required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
