Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN License
Certifications: BLS, PALS Description: The position involves
working in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The unit accommodates
14 to 22 beds. Staffing varies based on acuity and census. Day
shift typically includes a clinical nurse coordinator and 4-6
nurses, while night shift also includes a clinical nurse
coordinator and 4-6 nurses. Patient ratios are generally 4:1 for
medical/surgical cases. The unit uses EMR technology, specifically
Meditech. Candidates should possess the following skills: BLS and
PALS certifications are required. Preferred qualifications include
ACLS certification. Typical procedures performed in the unit
include: Cleft palate repair Appendectomy Chest tube management
Lumbar punctures Seizure management Non-invasive cardiology
procedures only Services provided include neuro, orthopedic,
general surgery, and thoracic cases such as thoracotomy,
thoracoscopy, and pectus bar implants. The ideal candidate will
have a supportive and collaborative personality. A full team
environment is encouraged, where everyone helps each other. The
position requires flexibility for weekend shifts, with 4 weekend
days scheduled every 4 weeks. There is no on-call requirement for
