rehabilitation journey. Position Summary Speech-Language
Pathologists (SLP) are vital members of our clinical team,
responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating communication,
swallowing, and speech disorders in patients with complex medical,
neurological, and behavioral needs. The SLP develops individualized
treatment plans, documents progress, collaborates with
interdisciplinary team members, and supports patients and families
with education and resources to promote functional communication

Maintains privacy and security of PHI in accordance with HIPAA.
Demonstrates collaboration and professional conduct at all times.
Provides patient-centered care that is compassionate,
cost-effective, and aligned with organizational goals. Clinical
Excellence Administers speech therapy services according to
individualized patient needs. Evaluates and diagnoses
communication, language, speech, and swallowing disorders. Develops
and implements treatment plans for patients with neurological,
neurobehavioral, and complex conditions. Utilizes standardized
assessments to measure severity and progress. Provides
evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to age and
developmental stage. Continuously monitors progress and adjusts
treatment plans. Recommends assistive communication devices and
supports device training. Completes accurate and timely
documentation of treatment, progress, and charges. Participates in
interdisciplinary care conferences. Collaborates effectively with
healthcare providers to support coordinated care. Patient
Experience & Advocacy Educates patients and families on
communication strategies and tools. Communicates findings and
recommendations clearly to families and the care team. Supports
discharge planning and continuation of care post-therapy. Quality
Assurance & Compliance Maintains compliance with healthcare
regulations and organizational policies. Participates in quality
improvement initiatives and workflow enhancements. Supports patient
safety and identifies opportunities to reduce risk. Submits
accurate documentation and billing records in a timely manner.
Maintains equipment and resources responsibly. Professional Growth
& Development Completes annual competency and education
requirements. Remains current on best practices, research, and
regulatory standards. Participates in workshops, CE opportunities,
and industry training. Mentors students and contributes to clinical
education and in-service training. Qualifications Education
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology ASHA Certification
(CCC-SLP) State of Texas Licensure as Speech-Language Pathologist
Experience Minimum 2 years’ experience with pediatric and
adolescent populations Experience in rehabilitation, complex
medical, or behavioral health settings preferred Skills Strong
knowledge of speech-language development and disorders Proficiency
in standardized assessment and documentation Ability to create and
implement individualized treatment plans Excellent communication
and patient/family engagement abilities Knowledge of
assistive/alternative communication devices (AAC) Organizational
skills and clinical documentation proficiency
Licensure/Certification Current state SLP licensure Certification
of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) BLS (AHA/ARC) De-escalation
training within 30 days of hire
