Seeking an experienced Post-Anesthesia Care Nurse (PACU RN) with ACLS/BCLS for a 17-bed PACU unit in the Heart Tower. Competitive travel RN opportunity close to Houston attractions./n /n/nJob Details/n /n - Location: Webster, TX 77598 (Greater Houston area)/n - Setting: Heart Tower, 2nd Floor – 17-bed PACU unit/n - Assignment Type: Travel PACU RN / Travel Nurse/n - Duration: 13 weeks (March 23, 2026 – June 22, 2026)/n - Shifts: Mixed day shifts (start times at 5:00 AM, 6:00 AM, 7:00 AM, or 8:00 AM)/n - Shift Length: 12 hours/n - Schedule: Monday through Friday — no weekends or on-call required/n - Hours per Week: 36/n - Patient Ratio: 3:1/n - Scrub Color: Ceil Blue or Royal Blue/n - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,350 - $1,420 per week/n /n/nJob Requirements / Qualifications/n /n - Active RN license (valid for assignment state)/n - ACLS and BCLS (BLS) certifications required/n - Minimum 1 year PACU, Pre-Op, or similar acute care experience (perioperative or recovery room experience preferred)/n - Proficiency in IV accessing, cardiac monitoring, and moderate sedation recovery/n - Experience with Meditech EMR preferred/n - Strong teamwork, clinical judgment, and communication skills/n /n/nPrimary Responsibilities/n /n - Provide post-anesthesia care and safe recovery for patients following procedures in the cath lab, CVOR, and EP lab/n - Monitor patients receiving moderate sedation and manage airway, hemodynamics, and pain control per PACU protocols/n - Perform IV access, cardiac monitoring, and necessary post-op assessments/n - Collaborate with RNs, charge nurse, anesthesia, and perioperative teams to ensure high-quality patient care/n - Float to other hospital areas as needed for tasking and cross-coverage/n - Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech EMR and adhere to hospital policies and unit guidelines/n /n/nPreferred / Additional Skills/n /n - Previous travel nurse experience or assignments in Texas healthcare settings/n - Familiarity with perioperative workflows, recovery room protocols, and cardiac procedure patients/n - Certification in specialty areas or additional ACLS recertification/n /n/n /n Experience the professional rewards of working in a supportive PACU team while enjoying all that Webster and the greater Houston area have to offer.
