POSITION OVERVIEW:

Production -Millwright for an aluminum can manufacturing plant. The plant operates on a continuous schedule 24/7. Employees work 12-hour shifts. We also offer and hour shift differential. In addition to a competitive salary, our employees enjoy a full benefits package.

This position will trouble-shoot, repair, replace, maintain and install -stationary industrial machinery and mechanical -production related equipment -within this high-speed metal packaging manufacturing facility. Equipment includes bodymakers, printers, washers as well as other packaging machinery. Responsibilities include following all local, state and federal electrical codes. Documentation of problems and maintenance of equipment and facility systems are also required. These positions will also provide training for equipment operation and safety precautions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Production -Millwrights responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:

• 
  
• Interest in building and repairing a variety -of mechanical systems
  
• Knowledge of computerized machinery
  
• Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications
  
• Ability to visualize a layout by looking at plans
  
• Experience in conveyor systems and maintenance of systems -
  
• Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers or field representatives as necessary to procure replacement parts and maintain inventory and related documentation.
  
• Provide support and education, working with users to identify needs, determine sources of problems, or to provide information on product use.
  
• Good verbal communication skills

  • Must have significant experience in operating production machines.
    
  • Related work experience or technical training/school or technical degrees may be substituted for the required work experience.
    
  • Ability to work a 12 hour shift which may include night shift and weekends.
    
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.

    • Three (3) plus years of experience -industrial maintenance experience.

          Working Conditions
          
          
          • 
            
          • Working with high speed automated machines and equipment in a manufacturing plant producing aluminum cans for the beverage industry.
            
          • The plant operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.
            
          • Will have constant pressure to produce high quality cans and to keep the production line operating.
            
          • The shifts are four (4) days on and four (4) off with the shift starting at 7:00 and ending at 7:00 (12 hours).
            
          • The plant is hot when the weather is hot and cold when the weather is cold.
            
          • Will be assigned to different areas of the plant throughout a team member's work career.
            
          • -Must be willing to work all areas of production and on any shift.
            
          • While performing duties, the team member regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
            
          • The team member frequently works in high, precarious places and may frequently be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration.
            
          • The team member may occasionally be exposed to risk of electrical shock.
