Job Description Job Description JOB SUMMARY The Environmental,
Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist is responsible for ensuring
compliance with environmental, health and safety guidelines,
advising on safety measures, conducting risk assessment, and
enforcing preventative measures. This role will be mainly in the
field supporting operations but will also involve assisting with
the administration of the corporate safety training programs,
promoting a safe workplace, conducting inspections, audits and
investigating incidents to improve overall safety. MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS Associate’s degree in environmental health and
safety, or equivalent combination of education, training and
experience required. Minimum of 5 years progressive experience.
Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record. Knowledge of
federal, state and local regulatory safety standards. The ability
to balance multiple tasks, along with strong communication skills
is essential. Excellent computer skills required. Must have
experience with Microsoft Office Programs. Must have Transportation
Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card. Valid Passport (or
must obtain within 30 days of employment). Travel to job site
locations will be required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s
degree in environmental / occupational safety and health or related
field. A recognized EHS certification (CESCO, CESHO, CSHO, OHST,
CHST, ASP, CSP or equivalent). Prior Marine Industry experience
including marine salvage and commercial diving. Oil and gas
industry experience. Emergency response experience. DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES Adhere to applicable safety and environmental
standards, regulations and company policies. Assist in hazard
identification and risk assessment activities and enforcing
preventative measures. Support the development of EHS policies and
programs. Advising and instructing on various safety-related
topics. Review existing policies and measures and update according
to legislation. Inspect premises and the work of personnel to
identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective
equipment). Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous
or unhealthy. Record and investigate incidents to determine causes.
Perform internal and external (field) safety audits. Assist in the
development and implementation of safety related policies,
procedures and programs to assure compliance with all national,
local, and company-specific regulations and requirements. Serve as
an on-site and ICP safety coordinator during T&T operations.
Conduct environmental, health and safety training for the various
departments and divisions. Maintain a database and historical files
of all training, briefing and meetings. Coordinate with field
personnel to ensure a job safety analysis and safety meeting is
conducted prior to the commencement of every operation. Develop and
maintain safety training materials tailored to the specific
industries served and equipment utilized. Maintain sufficient
supplies of personal protective and first aid equipment. Ensure all
personnel are properly equipped with safety equipment, and that all
personnel assigned to offshore, diving, salvage and pollution
response operations receive respiratory protection fit-testing,
HAZWOPER, and other required safety training as required by
Federal, State and local regulations and recommendations.
Participation in the T&T Safety Committee. Conduct audits of
the offshore, salvage, commercial diving, heavy lift and salvage
equipment maintenance programs, including required monthly
inspections of T&T cranes, forklifts and personnel lifts.
Ensure T&T facilities are following all Federal, State and
local safety and environmental regulations Assist with the
maintenance and upkeep of the various contractor management
platforms ensuring that all required contractor requirements are
maintained. (i.e. ISNetworld, Veriforce, Avetta) Attend
industry/trade association meetings and regulatory sessions as
requested to maintain a professional network and represent T&T.
Continuously work towards improving personal knowledge base and
remaining aware of emerging technologies and trends in the EHS
environment Other duties as assigned relevant to EHS activities
SHIFT INFORMATION The standard work schedule for a Environmental
Health and Safety Specialist is Monday-Friday, 0700-1600; however,
this work schedule may vary and include overtime, weekends,
holidays, and extended periods of travel. WORKING

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently
exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes
