Job Description:
Description Key Job Responsibilities: Perform firefighting,
rescue, EMS, hazardous materials, and maintenance duties as
outlined in department policy, procedures, guidelines, and
protocols Comply with department policies, procedures, guidelines
and protocols Perform all other duties as directed by supervisory
personnel Qualifications Knowledge/Skills Required : Must have a
minimum of one year of employment with a career fire department
Must be a full-time employee of a career fire department, fire
training institution or fire/arson investigation agency for
duration of employment at PGFD TCFP Basic Structural Fire Fighter
DSHS EMT-Basic certification Valid Texas Class “B” driver’s license
Must be able to provide a minimum of 8 shifts per month for
scheduling, to include 10 hr. day, 14 hr. night and/or 24 hr.
shifts (including a minimum of three (3) weekend shifts) Preferred:
Driver/Operator, Hazardous Materials Technician, DSHS AEMT and EMTP
license/certification S tarting Salary: $21.00 - $22.00/hr. DOQ
(Certification pay for HazMat, AEMT, EMTP)
